Giving the crows jobs reminded me of The Life of Brian. Enjoy :D
-------------------------
BRIAN: Yes. Consider the lilies...
ELSIE: Consider the lilies?
BRIAN: Uh, well, the birds, then.
EDDIE: What birds?
BRIAN: Any birds.
EDDIE: Why?
BRIAN: Well, have they got jobs?
ARTHUR: Who?
BRIAN: The birds.
EDDIE: Have the birds got jobs?!
FRANK: What's the matter with him?
ARTHUR: He says the birds are scrounging.
BRIAN: Oh, uhh, no, the point is the birds. They do all right. Don't they?
FRANK: Well, good luck to 'em.
EDDIE: Yeah. They're very pretty.
BRIAN: Okay, and you're much more important than they are, right? So, what are you worrying about? There you are. See?
EDDIE: I'm worrying about what you have got against birds.
BRIAN: I haven't got anything against the birds. Consider the lilies.
ARTHUR: He's having a go at the flowers now.

The Watchtower has really shot itself in the foot with this move! Going from 3 brainwashing sessions to now 2 brainwashing sessions.
Less brainwashing sessions = More people realising it's just a big phoney scam.
Hooray!

Thank you, Watchtower, Bible and Tract Society!
by David_R ini wanted to say thank you to the wbts for enforcing a 'no-contact' rule on all those that have left the organization.. only by experiencing first-hand my former best-friends treating me like a complete stranger (see 'garbage') for standing up for my own beliefs was i finally able to tell the society 'good-bye' forever and not feel guilty about it.. i know this was not the wbts's intention from the alienation practice.
it's intention was to make me feel guilty and lonely enough to come back to them.
however, it has backfired on them and finally given me my freedom.. thank you, society, for lacking kindness and understanding.

Hi Bring_The_Light
Did you think about finding a congregation where know one knows you and pretend that you're some average joe off the street? Ask them questions about their beliefs that way, or even ask for a bible study? -

Dinosaurs, Homenids, and Jehovah's Witnesses (Oh My!)....
by Tuesday inso this hit me the other day, i distinctly remember on stage and otherwise jehovah's witnesses have no problem admitting that there were dinosaurs on the earth.
in fact alot of times they would say that god used dinosaurs to get the earth ready for humans to inhabit it.
however at the same time many jehovah's witnesses defiantly deny the existence of early homenids.

Hi Tuesday,
The Creation book is full of selective referencing from the scientific community. It's an old pattern that the watchtower has used for a long time.
Just goes to show their deceptive nature, and the fact that they're not really interested in the REAL truth at all. Their only interest is pushing their agenda and maintaining psychological control of their victims (rank & file jws).

Single Ministerial Servants and Elders...
by B_Deserter ini'm sure this has been touched on before, but i just thought about it tonight.
i was thinking about the appointment of ministerial servants (deacons) and elders (bishops) in the kingdom hall.
the watchtower society runs down the list of requirements in acts, that they must be good examples, pure, etc.

I always saw this scripture as a validation for polygamy.
Think about it. If the writer had to make a point that the elders should only have one wife. It meant that there must have been Christian husbands around with more than one wife and they would have been accepted members of the Christian community, although not ideal candidates for the role congregation elders.
Now I'm not a supporter of polygamy but I felt it was wrong of the watchtower to break up polygamous families of newly recruited members in countries where polygamy is accepted. There is no scriptural justification (that I know of) for it.

Jehovah's Witnesses are CASTING A GIANT SHADOW
by Terry infolks are about as happy as they decide to be.. looking on the bright side of life gives you more of a foothold when things go awry.
nurturing hope builds a foundation for you which enables you to save for tomorrow and build toward the future and hang on when things get tough.. people dig their own graves when they become pessimists.
"why bother" replaces "that's worth a try!".

OMG What an awesome superbowl!
What an amazing catch by Tyree, simply brilliant. And how the hell did Manning get it to him? One of the best plays ever. That play alone deserved to win a Superbowl on it's own merits.
Commiserations to the Patriots but the Giants thoroughly deserved that!
Ok I've had my fix of American sports till the next Superbowl :D I'll go back to my rugby league and cricket (aussie sports) now.
Cheers

Question: Why was it ok to sell unbled meat to a foriegner for them to eat?
by Lady Liberty inhello all... ok, i have a question for any takers: deuteronomy 14:21 says this:.
21 "you must not eat any body [already] dead.
so, it is obvious that this is why they could not eat a animal that they found that had died, say from natural causes.

Hi Lady Liberty,
You're right on the money. This is the very scripture which exposes the serious flaw in the watchtower's blood doctrine.
Unfortunately the watchtower has no answer for this. I researched this thoroughly before I left and the only watchtower article that addresses this scripture actually sidesteps that very question.
If the selling of unbled carcasses that were not killed by humans is ok for Isrealites to do, then that implies a strong distinction between the handling of blood/unbled meat of animals killed by humans and those not killed by humans.
The rule against eating unbled meat of animals not killed by humans clearly falls under the mosaic law. Either that or the god of the old testament is a hypocrite.
Regards
